Women, Infants and Children (WIC) Program

Keeping parents and their babies healthy is the goal of the Women, Infants and Children (WIC) program. WIC is a federally funded, state-run program that focuses on the nutritional well-being of pregnant people and new parents, as well as their children up to age five. Your first steps should be to have your Health Care Provider complete the WIC Program Medical Referral Form here.

In accordance with Federal civil rights law and U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) civil rights regulations and policies, the USDA, its Agencies, offices, and employees, and institutions participating in or administering USA programs are prohibited from discriminating based on race, color, national origin, sex, disability, age, or reprisal or retaliation for prior civil rights activity in any program or activity conducted or funded by USDA.

Who is Eligible?

Pregnant, breastfeeding and non-breastfeeding parents, infants, and children up to five years old may be eligible for the WIC program. In addition, fathers or other legal guardians may also be eligible to receive WIC benefits for their infants and children up to age five. Our friendly, dedicated staff will help determine whether you qualify for WIC and help you through the application process.

    Be a resident of New York State (though you don’t have to be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident)
  • Meet certain income requirements
