Joseph P. Addabbo Family Health Center Hosts Men’s Health Summit to Address Gaps in Men’s Health

Queens, NY – Join Joseph P. Addabbo Family Health Center on Wednesday, June 25, 2025, as we host our 2025 Men’s Health Summit. This free, community-centered event aims to improve health outcomes for men and boys, especially those underserved in health care and social support systems. This year’s event will build upon the national Men’s Health Month theme: Closing the Empathy Gap—raising awareness of the lack of care and attention to men’s physical and mental health needs.

Attendees can access free health screenings, mental health education, fitness activities, insurance assistance, and wellness workshops—plus a chance to win a FREE iPad raffle for men who complete health screenings. We’ll also host a special healthcare panel discussion with:

Men’s Health Month Background:

Men die nearly 6 years earlier than women, often from preventable causes. Mental health concerns, including high suicide rates among men, remain under-addressed. The Empathy Gap in men’s health leads to delayed care, underfunding, and poor outcomes. This summit takes a proactive education, prevention, and empowerment approach, strengthening community health and equity.
