Far Rockaway, NY – The Joseph P. Addabbo Family Health Center (JPAFHC) and the Jewish Community Council of the Rockaway Peninsula (JCCRP) are proud to announce a new collaboration to increase access to vital health and social services for the Rockaway community beginning Tuesday, April 22, 2025, JPAFHC staff members will be on-site daily at the JCCRP’s Rockaway located at 1525 Central Avenue, Far Rockaway, NY 11691.

This new partnership ensures that individuals visiting JCCRP for pantry services or other community support will have direct, face-to-face access to essential information about the healthcare services available at JPAFHC. Community members can also schedule medical appointments, receive guidance on obtaining health insurance and connect to additional support programs.

“Our shared commitment to advancing health equity and addressing social determinants of health makes this partnership with JCCRP especially meaningful,” said Renee Hastick-Motes, CEO of the Joseph P. Addabbo Family Health Center. “By bringing our services directly into the heart of the community, we are removing barriers to care and creating more opportunities for families to live healthier, more secure lives. Together, we are strengthening the safety net that so many in Rockaway rely on.”

Through this initiative, JPAFHC and the JCCRP are combining their missions to uplift vulnerable populations and ensure that no one in the Rockaway Peninsula goes without the support they need.

“For over 50 years JCCRP continues to be a trusted community partner in assisting individuals in their times of need with social services,” said Allison Deal, Executive Director of JCCRP. “We have had a relationship with Addabbo for decades referring clients to each other, and we are excited to now be able to have their critical services, such as WIC enrollment and NYS of Health Marketplace, be even more accessible to our clients. We are very grateful to Renee Hastick-Motes for working closely with community partners such as JCCRP to meet clients where they are. We hope that more people will be aware that services such as WIC and NYS Health Marketplace are offered right here in Far Rockaway at no cost.”

 The Jewish Community Council of the Rockaway Peninsula has long served as a cornerstone of support in the region, offering critical food, housing, and social services to families in need while advocating for the well-being of the Jewish community and all underserved residents in the Rockaways.
