Mr. Aurelio Gooden is a seasoned Human Resources Professional with over 27 years of Human Resources and Legal experience.
Prior to joining The Joseph P. Addabbo Family Health Center, Inc. team in October 2016 as Director of Human Resources, Mr. Gooden held the position of Deputy Director of Human Resources Administration for The New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA) with a workforce of 12,000. There, he oversaw and managed talent acquisition, employment processing, compensation and benefits, records management, employee relations and retention, EEO compliance and labor relations.
As Director of Human Resources at The Postgraduate Center for Mental Health, Inc. and Steinway Child and Family Services, Inc., he successfully transformed and managed the agency’s Human Resources operations for over fifteen years. He also managed a criminal defense law firm (The Bronx Defenders), serving as its Office Manager where he helped this start-up firm develop a thorough understanding of office administration.
Mr. Gooden has been a great addition and leading force to JPA’s Human Resources Department. He and his team have made positive changes that have dramatically transformed the Addabbo organization.
Mr. Gooden holds a Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies from Mount Saint Mary College. He is a candidate for a Master of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy from Mercy College and a Master of Arts in Organizational Management from Ashford University.
He is married with three sons and is involved in his local community and his church.
