More than 25 years of progressively responsible experience in the non-profit sector, Thomas Meyers, the Joseph P. Addabbo Family Health Center, Inc.’s Compliance Officer & Safety Administrator, exhibits proficiency in spearheading innovative initiatives, excellence in executive management instincts and strong leadership skills. His primary responsibility is managing the corporate compliance program to ensure the integrity of the agency’s operations.
Prior to joining Addabbo, Mr. Meyers was with Educational Alliance, as its Director of Compliance, working with multiple government funded programs, including Early Childhood Education, Addiction Services and Older Adult Services.
Among his significant previous positions, he served as Sector Director for Homeless Services at Volunteers of America Greater New York, Associate Executive Director at The Child Center of NY over the Preventive Service programs, as well as its Medicaid Compliance Officer, and Director of Preventive Services at Safe Space NYC. His work in these positions afforded him the opportunity to hone his skills in grant writing, strategic planning and policy development. Mr. Meyers has extensive experience handling regulatory issues and dealing with various city, state and federal regulators. He also has invaluable hands-on-experience with government funding sources and government oversight agencies.
Mr. Meyers holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Emmaus Bible College and a Master of Social Work (MSW) degree from Fordham University. He also proudly served in the United States Marine Corps.
