HIV Services

The HIV Program at Joseph P. Addabbo Family Health Center provides a variety of services, including HIV treatment for people living with HIV/AIDS (PLWHA), HIV/HEP C testing, medical case management/care coordination for PLWHA, referrals for PrEP and PEP (HIV prevention medication) and case management services for (HIV+ or HIV-) men who have sex with men (MSM) and transgender individuals.

Our comprehensive HIV specialty care is based on the principles of accessibility, confidentiality, health promotion and patient satisfaction. It includes medical/dental visits, lab work, Pap smears every six months, TB screenings, immunizations for hepatitis A and B, pneumonia vaccine as needed, annual flu vaccines and referrals for preventive care.

The HIV specialty care case management/care coordination programs provide referrals for entitlements, housing, behavioral health, substance use, home care referral, job placement and training, family support and treatment adherence support.
