Alan Friedman, DDS, chose the field of dentistry because it has provided him with the opportunity to be on the front line of wellness and disease prevention. “Patients visit their dentist regularly and we are often the first health care professionals to identify a wide range of diseases such as hypertension and oral cancer,” explains Dr. Friedman.
Believing that dentists also help patients improve their appearance and boost their self-confidence, he enjoys being a part of this process. “There is a such a wide variety of cosmetic dental procedures these days,” says Dr. Friedman. “They can do a great deal towards making patients feel better about themselves especially when they have a great healthy smile!”
He chose to work at the Joseph P. Addabbo Family Health Center because it affords him the opportunity to be a part of a talented team of professionals and allows him to be “on the front lines” of dental health by combining administrative duties with seeing patients. His motto: Teamwork is Dreamwork!
