Committed to ensuring quality healthcare with compassion and respect for the underserved and most vulnerable population, Dr. Wiltshire brings her experience and her passion to the leadership team in the role of chief medical officer. Dr. Wiltshire is a board-certified general pediatrician and former director of pediatrics at Joseph P. Addabbo Family Health Center. After immigrating to the US from Guyana, South America in 1995, Dr. Wiltshire graduated valedictorian of the Canarsie High School class of 1998, graduated magna cum laude from St. Francis College Honors Program, received her doctor of medicine degree from Ross University, completed her residency program at SUNY Downstate Medical Center in pediatrics and joined the Joseph P. Addabbo Family Health Center’s Pediatric team in 2011.
Her oversight responsibilities include providing leadership for the clinical team and operations as well as the community health-based agency programs. She also serves as the primary liaison to the administration and to the agency’s Board of Directors. Her core goals include fostering high staff morale, physician satisfaction and retention, ensuring that staff has the tools required to deliver the best patient care and maintaining a work environment that reflects the highest ethical values and a positive atmosphere for patients and their families.
Dr. Wiltshire is the recipient of numerous awards and scholarships, including: the 2019 “Women of Influence” Award from the Guyanese Girls Rock Foundation; the “2019 Special Recognition Certificate” from the American College of Pediatrics for her contributions in education; the Danny Glover “Women of Power” Award for empowering rural women and girls presented as part of the Commission of the Status of Women (CSW) 62 United Nations Agenda; and the Triple “C” Award for Courage, Character and Community Service by the NYC former comptroller, Alan Hevesi. She is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and a member of the Health Education Relief Organization, an international volunteer global health service organization.
Dr. Wiltshire’s interests include mentoring minority students who are interested in medicine, and she feels honored to serve the Queens and Brooklyn communities. Dr. Wiltshire is married with three sons.
