Nutritionist Patricia Cooke has worked for more than 13 years counseling patients for a variety of health issues and chronic diseases with a specialty in clinical weight loss, weight management and bariatric surgery. She has worked with people of all ages helping them achieve the healthiest body possible through lifestyle changes and healthy attitudes. She trained in the area of bariatric surgery to not only address the required change of diet, but to address the myriad of issues present in an individual struggling with obesity.
Ms. Cooke spent the better part of the last decade working in community settings such as Senior Centers, schools and homeless shelters as well as in clinical settings. Joseph P. Addabbo Family Health Center provides her the opportunity to combine the two settings while working closely with communities to address their needs.
“Being healthy and eating good food should not feel like a chore”, says Cooke. “Foods we eat can play a vital role to alleviate symptoms brought on by a wide variety of health issues and in some case, can help treat the issues themselves. Never underestimate the power of good food.”
