Health Plus provides children and teenagers living in the state
of New York with free or low cost health coverage, depending on the
number of people in your family and household income. You may choose
a doctor for your children from the many physicians or health centers
within the community that participate in this program.

Health Plus is a new program for New York State residents that
provides comprehensive health insurance at no cost to low income uninsured
adults, aged 19 through 64, who do not qualify for Medicaid or Medicare.
Healthcare services under this program are provided through managed
care companies.

Medicaid
is a health plan for New Yorkers who cannot afford to pay for medical
care. You may be eligible if you have high medical bills, receive
Supplementary Security Income (SSI), or meet certain income, resource,
age, or disability requirements.
